Windscreen damage comes in all shapes and sizes. Enjoy this step-by-step process of repairing an irregular, half moon shaped break with a Delta Kits professional windscreen repair kit.
This video demonstrates how to properly repair a bull’s-eye break with Delta Kits windscreen repair equipment.
First, the technician probes the damaged area searching for debris and/or moisture.
Then, the technician applies the Delta Kits B300 bridge to the windscreen. He injects resin and begins a five-minute pressure cycle. After the pressure cycle, the technician begins the 30-second vacuum cycle. For optimal results, Delta Kits recommends that you do three to four pressure cycles and two to four vacuum cycles.
Once the air has been removed from the break, the technician applies pit resin, a curing tab and the UV light. The repair cures for five minutes.
After the damaged area has cured, the excess resin is scraped off with a razor blade and pit polish is applied. Finally, the video shows what the damaged area looked like before the windscreen repair, and after the windscreen repair.
