Question:
I have a thick glass kidney-shaped coffee table with beveled edges. It is supported by a curved glass on edge. The top has 4 chips on its edges. One of the supports has damage on a vertical edge. Two questions:
- Is the Plate Glass Repair Kit right for the repairs?
- What would a glass repair shop usually charge for repairs like this?
Answer:
Thank you for your inquiry.
If you could provide a picture of the damage we could better answer your question.
We have repaired many different types of glass surfaces using the 30277 Plate Glass Repair Kit you are referring too, which includes coffee tables. The kit will eliminate sharp edges and provides a smooth finish.
Cosmetic appearance is also improved considerably but due to the large volume of resin required to fill the damage a competed repair will always be visible.
Unfortunately, I couldn’t give you an idea of what a glass repair shop would charge for this type of repair.
